e-mobility concept
- Global-E E-Mobility Concept
- In big cities, such as Berlin, you don’t have a private parking space unless you pay for it. That means that every day when you come home from work, you usually have a different one than the day before. Regarding e-mobility, that implies you can’t charge it at home. Todays charging-infrastructure copies the “gas-station-idea” without solving the problem of time. A normal, full charge takes several hours.
Global-E is an approach to provide energy everywhere and at any time.
Every car acts as a battery for the one next to it. If and how much energy a car shares depends on the owner. The energy is shared on a credit based system. With the collected credits you can recharge your batterys, make cash, plant a tree etc. Global-E is a social, energy sharing community enhancing the green e-mobility experience. A splitted, modular battery makes the rechargingprocess a lot easier. You can take out single modules and recharge them individually and the way you want, whenever you want. It might be possible to buy them in the supermarket or to have them delivered to wherever you may be stranded. In the future there might be charging drones recharging the cars at night. - project background
This project is the outcome of a 3 days workshop on e-mobility during the CLEAN TECH WORLD 2010 in Berlin (Germany). In interdisciplinary teams students from all fields worked under the lead of the School of Design Thinking Potsdam. Together we develloped concept-solutions to the given problems with the help of ,,Design Thinking''. - briefing
